COMMENTS: A good item in conjunction with the Way of Musou item. The jury is still out on whether or not this item actually does anything. COMMENTS: It seems that items you receive in battle are determined more by random luck rather than luck itself. COMMENTS: Ma Chao + Horned Helm + Calvary Armor + Storm/Shadow Runner = Good stuff. Calvary Armor (*/**** with Ma Chao): Increases Mounted Defense. Ma Chao + Horned Helm + Calvary Armor + Storm/Shadow Runner = Good stuff. COMMENTS: Not too useful unless you are playing Ma Chao. Horned Helm (*/**** with Ma Chao): Increases Mounted Attack. COMMENTS: Considering that arrow damage has been toned down significantly, this item isn't too useful. This affects their Charge attacks as well.
COMMENTS: Not too useful unless you are playing Huang Zhong or Xiahou Yuan. Huang's Bow (*/**** with Huang Zhong or Xiahou Yuan): Increases Bow Attack.
COMMENTS: Slightly increases jump height. from very slow to slow, or from fast to very fast). It provides a one step boost in speed at level 20 (i.e. COMMENTS: The speed increase is not very noticeable unless this is at high levels.
There is no reason why you shouldn't have one equipped at all times. A high defense not only decreases the damage you receive but also increases your resistance to being stunned by attacks. COMMENTS: Like the Tiger Amulet, the Tortoise Amulet significantly boosts defense, especially at higher levels.
Tortoise Amulet (****): Increases Defense. This gives weaker characters a good attack boost, and makes stronger characters real powerhouses. COMMENTS: Unlike previous games, the attack boost here is significant, especially at higher levels. It's better just to get Musou Wine power ups instead. The shorter your gauge the faster it will fill up. COMMENTS: I haven't found having more Musou to be particularly useful, especially since the effects of Orbs is dependent on your Musou gauge being full. Dragon Amulet (**): Increases Musou gauge. YES NOstart getting Dim Sum, I'd recommend switching to the Tortoise Amulet.
